Sherry_Austin_MusicWhat is this Smies Design, you ask? One word. Solutions.

Designing logos, print materials, social media, interiors or promotion items for your events, I’m all about designing solutions for all your marketing needs.

I hear you.

I’m here to listen, and to help you recognize your strengths and needs.

At your service.

Once I know the ins and outs of your business, I’ll communicate your message in a language your audience will understand.  The perfect balance of imagery and words will inspire them to take action.  Whether it’s through a logo, website, print materials, styling or something else, I’ll get you where you’d like to go.

You’ll like what I do.  You’ll like me, too*.

* At least this is what my clients tell me.

In my 25 years in marketing, advertising and design, I’ve gotten plenty of compliments.  But perhaps none is as meaningful as this: I love working with you.

The feeling’s mutual.  I love my clients.  I’ve had the privilege of working with exceptional individuals, organizations, and businesses both large and small within the areas of retail, restaurants, hospitality, telecommunications, IT, manufacturing, furniture and beyond.

I’ve gotten to design restaurant brands that carry through to the dining room. Direct shoots for national campaigns.  Create materials for five-star resorts.  Design an award-winning cookbook.  Brand and set design an Emmy-winning television series.  Nurture and help refine the incredible amount of talent at the design office where I served as president for 15 years.

Throughout, I’ve recognized that while I look at these projects as exciting and incredibly inspirational, my clients sometimes view them as daunting. Scary even.  This is where my years of experience and my warm-yet-level-headed disposition come into play. I deliver innovative solutions on time, on budget, with meticulous attention to detail, and with a smile.
